Derral Davis, 73, of Throckmorton, TX passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 in Abilene. A Memorial Service and fellowship will be held, 1:00pm, Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Senior Citizens Center. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, Haskell, TX. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com
Derral was born August 19, 1942 in Brown County, TX, the son of the late Bart Davis and Oma Lee Alexander Davis. On July 24, 1989, he married Debbie Karl in Throckmorton, TX. For the past 48 years, Derral was owner and mechanic of Davis Service Station. Throughout the years, Derral also owned various businesses.
Derral loved taking part in car shows around the area. He also enjoyed coin collecting and antiquing. He especially adored spending time with his family and grandchildren. Derral was a member of First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and daughter Angela Davis Oliver.
Derral is survived by his wife, Debbie Davis of the home; daughters, Tammie Riley and husband Dale; Amy Henry and husband Danny; Jenny Findley and husband Brian; Wendee Putman and husband James, 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Bob Davis and wife LaRue; Don Davis; Bert Davis and wife Donna; sister, Betty Rankin and a host of dear friends.
