Obituary for Jacky Sanders
Jacky Sanders, 72, of Haskell, passed away on February 2, 2017 at his home. A funeral service will be 1:00pm, Monday, February 6, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Weinert with Bro. Dan Bullock officiating and Dr. Joe Arthur assisting. Burial will follow in Atwell Cemetery in Callahan County. A visitation will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Haskell Funeral Home 2 Avenue D, Haskell TX. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Jacky was born on July 4, 1944 to Andrew and Sally (Alexander) Sanders in Weinert, TX. On September 21, 1963, he married Sandra Isbell in Haskell, TX. Jacky owned and operated S & S Tile Company for 40 + years, he also was a rancher during this time. He enjoyed collecting and showing classic cars. Jacky was a member of First Baptist Church of Weinert, Texas. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Andrew Cody Sanders; 4 sisters, Lona Mae Phelps, Eva Hardman, Martha Maupin, and Scarlet Cole.
Jacky is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra Sanders of Haskell; children, Ricky Sanders and wife Shana of Brock, TX; Rex Sanders and wife Mandy of Aledo, TX; Jaclyn Sanders and Shaella of Springtown, TX; grandchildren, Shambry, Abigail, Robert, Charolette, Keigan, Logan, Kinzler; siblings, Oman “Bud” Sanders and wife Wilma; Ethel Slade; Andy Sanders and wife Marlene; Marie Kirkland and husband B.D.; Sue Cox and husband Walter; Rocky Sanders, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of dear friends.
