Linda Adams, 79, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at her home surrounded by family. A funeral service will be at 3:30 pm, Saturday, November 6, 2021 at First Baptist Church, Weinert with Bro Dan Bullock officiating. Burial will follow in Weinert Cemetery under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Linda was born July 23, 1942 in Haskell County, the daughter of the late Betty Hix York and Henry York. On October 25, 1958, she married Elmer Adams in Oklahoma. Linda loved on and cared for many children dear to her heart before becoming an administrative assistant for 21 years at Matlock & Associates. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Weinert. Linda enjoyed reading, but most of all, she loved being a Nina to her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Beverly Richardson.
Linda is survived by her husband of 63 years, Elmer Adams of Weinert, TX; sons, Micheal Adams and wife Peggy; Brian Adams and wife Vicki; daughter, Stacia Leach and husband Kevin all of Haskell, TX; grandchildren, Mandy Lewis and husband Brett of Brock, TX; Travis Adams and wife Hanna of Haskell, TX; Paige Akins and husband Jacob of Haskell, TX; Kelsie Johnson and husband Alex of Shallowater, TX; Brady Leach and wife Madi of Mineral Wells, TX; Hayden Leach and fiancé Bailea of Haskell, TX; great grandchildren, Addie Lewis, River Lewis, Dylan Shaver, Kelby Adams, Warren Akins, Mayson Akins, Riggyn Leach and Parker Leach. She is also survived by sister, Mary Robinson of Iowa Park, TX, a host of kids who called her Nina, numerous nieces, nephews, special friends, Erlinda Mayfield, Cindy Guess, Doris Walker and many lifelong friends.
