Olga Harkey, 90, of Haskell, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022 in Aspermont at the Stonewall Living Center. A visitation will be held from 6:00-7:30pm, Friday, Sept 2, 2022 at Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Ave D, Haskell, TX. A funeral service will be held 1:00pm, Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock, TX. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock, TX under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. Condolences will be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Olga was born November 7, 1931, in Temple, Texas; the daughter of the late Joseph Ancinec, Sr and Rose Dusek Ancinec. On June 15, 1951, she married the late Edmond Ray "Bud" Harkey in Whitharral, TX. She worked as an administrative assistant at the Texas Tech School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas for 25 years. She was a member of the Cornerstone Fellowship Baptist Church. Olga enjoyed reading, traveling, and loved her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Bessie Sisson, Dorothy Broersma, Mary Hanks, Rose Thurman; and brothers, Joseph Ancinec Jr, Stanley Ancinec.
Olga is survived by daughters, Nancy LaPointe of Ruidoso, NM, Sandra Dimsha of San Angelo, TX, Teresa Turner and husband Mike of Haskell, TX; son, Alan Harkey and wife Terri of McKinney, TX; Grandchildren, Carla Giese of Austin, TX, Philip Dimsha of San Angelo, TX, Sarah Boswell and husband Davey of San Angelo, TX, Jessica Turner Stevens and husband Matt of Boca Raton, FL, Lori Turner of San Antonio, TX, Christopher Harkey of Haltom City, TX, Andrew Harkey of Austin, TX; Great Grandchildren, Samantha Giese of Austin, TX, Addison Boswell of San Angelo, TX, Gracelyn Boswell of San Angelo, TX, Jaxon Boswell of San Angelo, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends.
