Obituary for Pamela Hodge
Pamela Hodge, 59, of Abilene, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022 in Abilene, TX. A funeral service will be held 11:00am, Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the First Assembly of God with Rev. Matthew M. Lubin, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Cemetery under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Ave D. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Pamela was born April 8,1963 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of the late Betty Jean Hodge and Willie Davis. She was an amazing cook, especially her soul food. She loved to dance, listen to music, loved people and took great joy in making people laugh. When waking up Pamela felt godvelous, and devoted to being with her family and care for them. Her energy was always 100%; she kept it real, but best believe she knew how to switch it up, just like her clothes. She LOVED watching her stories: The Young and Restless, even Liftetime, with her granddaughter. Those were some of the best moments. ‘Pamela’, AKA, ‘Boo Boo’, ‘Mama Sita’, AKA ‘Big Momma Shot Caller,’ was just surprising you, never would know what would come out of her mouth, but those are the reasons we will always love her and remember her.
Pamela became a member at Macedonia Baptist Church, Pastor Mathew M. Lubin. Pamela rededicated her life and was baptized on September 8, 2019. She took part in the Walk to Emmaus Community. She loved to fellowship and do bible study at Heavenly Rest and University Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerome Hodge; uncles, William Hodge and Theodore (Ted) Hodge.
Pamela is survived by her children, Ray Hodge, Stephanie Hodge, Jessica Hodge of Abilene; sister Mickey Hodge-Johnson of Haskell, sister-in-law Madeline Brooks of Dallas, TX; granddaughter, Amera Hodge of Abilene; grandsons, Michael Irvin, Marquise Johnson, Montrell Johnson of Haskell, and Keyvan Dearman of Abilene; nephews, Donnell Hodge, Jerry Brooks of Dallas, and Jakaan Hodge of Abilene Diane Hodge of Arizona, Cynthia Hodge of Odessa Texas, and many other cousins!
