Sandra Sanders, 71, of Haskell, passed away, Monday, March 27, 2017 in Abilene, TX. A funeral service will be 1:00pm, Friday, March 31, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Weinert with Bro. Dan Bullock and Dr. Joe Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in Atwell Cemetery in Callahan County. A visitation will be held Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 6:00 -8:00pm at Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D, Haskell, TX. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Sandra was born October 7, 1945, in Haskell, TX, the daughter of the late Lee Roy Isbell and Ruby Scheets Isbell. On September 21, 1963, she married Jacky Sanders in Haskell, TX. She went to school in Haskell, where she enjoyed playing basketball. Sandra later played League Basketball in Irving and played volleyball. She and her husband Jacky started S & S Tile Company. Sandra was a member of First Baptist Church of Weinert. Sandra is a breast cancer survivor for 20 years. She enjoyed playing piano and went to all the children's and grandchildren's events for as long as she could. Sandra was a wonderful cook and a great mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jacky Sanders, who passed away February 2, 2017; son, Andrew Cody Sanders; 2 brothers, Kenneth Isbell and James Isbell.
Sandra is survived by children, Ricky Sanders and wife Shana of Brock, TX; Rex Sanders and wife Mandy of Aledo, TX; Jaclyn Sanders and Shaella of Springtown, TX; grandchildren, Shambry, Abigail, Robert, Charolette, Keigan, Logan, Kinzler; siblings, Roy Isbell of Fredericksburg, TX, Jerry Isbell and wife Karen of Watauga, TX; Bobby Isbell and wife Nancy of Bertram, TX; Cynthia Clark and husband Tommy of Brownwood, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of dear friends.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Weinert, 100 East McConnell, Weinert, TX 76388 or to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center, 4601 Hartford St. Abilene, TX 79605.
