He was preceded in death by his mother, Zilda Benavides.
Valentine is survived by his father, Luis Tafolla; grandmother, Angelica Benavides of Haskell; sisters, Roselinda Marinez of Denton; Amelia Tafolla of Denton, brothers, Javier Tafolla of California, Bennie Tafolla of Haskell, TX, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
