Bennie Faye Shelton

December 5, 1925 — January 11, 2020

Bennie Faye Shelton, 94, longtime resident of Haskell, passed away, Saturday, January 11, 2020 in Crowell, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at East Side Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Minister Erbey Gomez, of Centerton, Arkansaas, officiating under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D, Haskell, Texas. Bennie was born December 5, 1925 in Haskell, Texas to Beno Andress and Opal Lackey Andress. She married William "Bill" Harley Shelton, Jr. on March 17, 1943 in Haskell, Texas. She was a volunteer at the Haskell Pink Ladies, a member of the Garden Club and a lifetime member of the East Side Baptist Church. Bennie was the Manager of the Haskell Dairy Queen for many years. She loved gardening with her flowers and to travel.

She was preceded in death by her parents Beno and Opal Andress; husband, Bill Shelton; son, Jerry Shelton and brothers, Dave Andress, Vernay Andress, Ray Andress, and Melvin Andress

Bennie is survived by daughter, Deby Robins of Crowell; sons, Mark Ellison Shelton of Alabama and Tim Shelton and wife Dana of Quitman; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Cheek of Haskell and brother, Boyd Andress of Everman; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
