Bobby Dan Trench

Bobby D. Trench, 59, of Merkel, formerly of Haskell, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026 in Abilene. A memorial service will be held 3:00pm, Saturday, July 25, 2026 at First Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby was born on June 25, 1967, in Hollis, Oklahoma, to Ron Trench and Cynthia Gibbons. On September 6, 1987, he married the love of his life, Samantha Cox, in Blair, Oklahoma.

Bobby had a passion for fishing and loved watching and playing basketball. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed racing stock cars, proudly driving car No. 3. Above all, Bobby cherished his family. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren, creating memories they will treasure forever. He was a faithful attendee of First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Samantha Trench of Merkel, TX; daughter, Shawnna Edwards and husband Nathan; son, Brandon Trench all of Abilene, TX; grandchildren, Kayelor Edwards, Josie Edwards, Parker Edwards (papa’s little monster); father, Ron Trench; mother, Cynthia Gibbons; siblings, Darren Trench, Danny Trench, Rhonda Trench, Michael Trench, Kim McGill, and Troy Gibbons; aunt, Judy Langston; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
