Caren Sue Haynes Thompson

Caren Sue Haynes Thompson, 68, of Rule, passed away, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at her home. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm, Friday, October 21, 2022 at East Side Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Moeller officiating. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.

Caren was born June 17, 1954, the daughter of the late, James Lamar Haynes and Kathleen Wallace Haynes. On September 24, 1977, she married Virgle Don Thompson. In 1972, she graduated from Haskell High School. Caren worked for Walmart in many different positions before retiring after 27 years. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church. Caren enjoyed crafting, making many homecoming mums; painting, and cooking. She especially loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Thompson; and brother, Jessie Haynes.

Caren is survived by her daughter Jessica Sorley and husband Calvin of Rule; grandchildren, Chase Thompson and Kayla, Ragen Thompson and Callie Sorley all of Rule; 9 honorary grandchildren she loved dearly; sister, Ann Boles of Hamlin; brothers, Tony Haynes and wife Linda of Haskell; Donald Haynes and wife Delia of Granbury; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
