Garland Ray Anderson

Garland Ray Anderson, 59, of Poteet, TX, formerly of Rule, TX, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at his home. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Primitive Baptist Church in Rule, TX, with Bro. James Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Rule Cemetery. A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday at Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D, Haskell. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.

Garland was born September 25, 1957 in Haskell Texas, the son of the late Dan Anderson and Agnes Lorene Reed Anderson. He worked as a truck driver, owning his own company.

He was preceded by his father, mother, 3 brothers and 2 sisters

Garland is survived by son, Cody Anderson and wife Jessica of Springfield CO; son, Zachary Anderson and wife Brandi of Poteet TX; daughter, Sarah Jung of Devine TX; step-daughter, Jeannie Hayden of Corpus Christi TX; step-son, Brandon Edwards of Poteet TX; grandchildren, Johnathon, Tyler, Alyssa, Lindsey, Caitlyn, Hunner, Sadie, Keegan, Abigail, Briley, Ayden, Annabelle, Talon, Taylin and Asher. He is also survived by brother, James Anderson of Mansfield TX; brother, Danny Anderson of Rule TX; brother, Calvin Anderson of Lubbock TX; sister, Anita Yarbrough of Cordova AK, extended family and a host of dear friends.

Pallbearers are Daniel Anderson, Howard Hayden, Robert Tribbey, Terry Anderson, Billy "Shorty" Greer, and Roger Oebel.
