George Enos Money, 84, of Bowie, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Haskell Funeral Home Chapel, 2 Avenue D, with Philip Sims officiating. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
George was born August 17, 1932 in Hamlin, Texas, the son of the late Elan Money and Julia Taylor Money. In August of 1967, he married Cleta Gay Shrum. George retired from Halliburton after 30 years of service. He loved his job and felt so fortunate to have been able to live and travel to so many countries during his career. While employed with Halliburton he lived in Australia, Venezuela, Brazil, the Philippines, Egypt and the North Sea to name a few.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gay Money; daughter, Pamela Money; grandson, Michael Money; brothers, E.A. Money, Jr., Virgil Dean Money and Everett Money.
George is survived by children, Cathy Poe and husband Robert of El Paso, Texas; Steve Money and wife Tammy of Haskell; Michael Money of Springtown, Texas; Micki Nittler and husband John of Yukon, Oklahoma. Ginger Gibson of Branson Missouri; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
