Henry “Hank” A. Sherman, Jr., 82, of Midland, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026 in Sweetwater. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.

Hank was born May 11, 1943, in Tarrant County, Texas, to the late Henry Alvin Sherman, Sr. and Winnie Mae Darnell Sherman. He later made Haskell his home, where he owned and operated Sherman Carpets and spent much of his life working in carpentry.

He enjoyed and appreciated the simple things in life, including riding his motorcycle, doing woodworking, and tending to his yard. Hank valued quiet moments and had a love of reading. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and was a very talented pool player.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Wynette Sherman; and life partner, Kathie Boatman.

Hank is survived by daughter, Alichia Warren and Paul of Midland and son, James Boatman and Tracillia Ballard of Merkel; grandchildren: Allie Sherman of Midland, Baron Hendrix and Amber of Midland, and Maison Boatman of Monahans; great grandchildren: Kyliegh Moats, Kyrian Moats, Baron Hendrix Jr, Athena Hendrix, Liam Hendrix, Jazmyn Thomas, Nathan Thomas, and Drake Martin; brother, George Sherman and wife Lynn of Amarillo; extended family and a host of dear friends.
