Jeffrey Alan Thane

Jeffrey Alan Thane, 63 of San Antonio, Texas passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Jeffrey was born July 6, 1960 in Abilene, Texas to Janet Sylvester Thane and Leland Alan Thane.

He was a devoted family man, cherishing every moment with his loved ones.  His heart resonated with the melody of a guitar and his music touched all who had the privilege of listening.  Jeffrey and his wife, Cherryl traveled to many destinations finding joy and beauty in each and every one of them.  He grew up in Sagerton, Texas.  He attended school in Rule, Texas and graduated from Stamford High School in 1978.  He retired from Hunt Oil Company on July 31, 2021 after 30 years of service.  His legacy lives on through the notes he played, the love he shared and the journey’s he took.  He will be deeply missed by family, friends and all those whose lives he graced with his music and warmth.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parent’s; Leland and Janet Thane, step-mother; JoAnn Thane, brother’s; Kerry Thane and John Haliburton and grandparent’s.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife; Cherryl Thane, bonus children; Brandon Thames (Trish), Casey Thames and Brittany Granado (David), bonus grandchildren; Madison, Zalend, Legend, Bronx, Lyric, Payton and Carson, brother; Marc Thane (Michelle), sister; Cynthia Culpepper (Ritchie), niece’s; Chelsie (Cody), Aerial (Joe), Haley (Chris), and Shalee, great nephew’s; Tristan and Leyton and a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
