Jonathan Wade Short, 41, passed away, Saturday, March 31, 2018, in Abilene, Texas. A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at First Assembly of God Church with Bro. Carl Amburn officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Cemetery under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. A visitation will be held 6-7 pm on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Haskell Funeral Home. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Jonathan was born March 1, 1977 in Haskell, Texas to Larry and Shirley Roberts Short. Jonathan was a member of the First Assembly of God. He loved to be outdoors, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Short; grandfathers, J.C. Short and Carl Roberts; grandmother, Marie Davis.
Jonathan is survived by his mother, Shirley Short of Rochester; daughter, Krista Rose Hill of Anson; sister, Kimberly Meier and husband Kevin of Clyde; brother, Bobby Short of Haskell; grandmother, Zetta Lee Dutton of Haskell; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
