Donnie “Keith” Solomon, 68, lifelong resident of Haskell, passed away July 30, 2026 in Haskell. He was born to his loving parents Donnie and Marie Solomon on March 1, 1958 and now joining them again in heaven among numerous family members before him.
Keith worked for many years as a carpenter alongside his cousin Ricky Bird, building numerous houses around this area. He was an absolute amazing cabinet maker! Keith also had a love for hunting and fishing alongside his brothers and friends. He even taught his granddaughters how to rip the heads off the birds, which they kinda enjoyed. He loved going out and fishing with his brother Kendell in Baffin Bay where he will also be set free once again.
Keith’s greatest treasure was spending time with his grandkids. They will forever miss the golf cart rides, teaching them to drive, riding in Pawpaw’s truck without a car seat, boat and jet ski rides, and just doing things with him outdoors. If you couldn’t find Keith at his house, you could always find him with some of his best friends Philip Josselet and Cat Isbell, these guys were a huge part of his life for many years!
In 2009, Keith and Lisa began their journey together. Their relationship grew into a beautiful partnership, and they were married in 2018 sharing 17 years filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.
We will forever miss his gruff voice and sarcasm, always seeming like he was in a bad mood, but would give anyone the shirt off his back and try to help them out!
Keith is survived by his wife, Lisa Solomon of Haskell; daughter Stephanie Surgenor and husband Matt of Midland; granddaughters Lexi, Brinley, and Carlie Surgenor; brothers Kendell Solomon and wife Judy of Corpus Christi and Clifford Solomon and wife Melinda of Monahans; sisters Paula Fulfer and husband Cotton of Loving and Tammy Riley of Robert Lee; stepsons Trey Rogers of Goree and Austin Nanny and wife Brittany of Wichita Falls; stepdaughter Amber Martinez of Haskell; step grandchildren Zander Garcia, Jordan Martinez, Ayden Martinez, Elizabeth Jenkinson, Keleigh Jenkinson, Carter Nanny; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and a host of friends. Keith also leaves behind a fun-loving black lab, Kally, who you could always find with him at the lake and on the golf cart.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00am – 4:00pm, Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Haskell Country Club, 168 Country Club Rd., Haskell. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
