Lisa Gay Campbell, 66, of Haskell, passed away, Thursday, September 4, 2025 in Haskell. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, September 21, 2025 at New Beginnings, Rochester, Texas. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Lisa was born on July 24, 1959, in Texas City, the daughter of the late Posey Lambert and Joyce Brown Lambert. She went on to graduate from college with a Bachelor of Science degree in Optometry, a field in which she dedicated more than 40 years of her life. In 2020, after a long and successful career, she retired to Haskell.
Known for her quick wit and her heart of gold, Lisa touched many lives with her kindness and humor. She enjoyed swimming and cherished time with her grandchildren, especially cheering them on at their sporting events.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Lisa is survived by her son, Chase Campbell of Texas City; sister, Kim Hutto and Keith Turnbow of Haskell; sister, Lindy Tucker of Texas City; grandchildren, Kailan Beck Campbell of Basalt, Bryce Hutto, Hadley Martin, Daisy Martin, Zada Smiley and Howie Smiley; extended family and a host of dear friends.
