Malinda Mae Payne Cripe entered the arms of Jesus on Monday, October 5th, 2026 surrounded by those she loved so much. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 4:00-6:00pm, at the Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. Malinda was born on December 14, 1965 in Denver City, Texas, to Danny and Glenda Payne. She attended Haskell and Paint Creek schools. With a heart for caring for others, she worked for many years as a driver for the Double Mountain Coach. On November 26, 2022 she married the love of her life, Danny Cripe, in Haskell.
Malinda lived with a deep and abiding faith, one rooted in perseverance, hope and unwavering trust in God. She was a lifelong member of the Assembly of God Church of Haskell and found her home at New Beginnings Church in Rochester. Her faith remained constant throughout her entire life.
She enjoyed collecting pig figurines, mowing her yard, motorcycles, loud music and rock ‘n roll concerts. Some of the family’s greatest memories were made simply by loading up in the car and driving around aimlessly going everywhere and nowhere, just enjoying being together.
Above all, Malinda loved her family. She loved her kids fiercely and would do anything for them. She was wild, fun, free-spirited, and strong with a stubborn streak that was simply part of who she was. The funny stories are endless, and these memories will continue to bring laughter to all who knew and loved her for many years to come.
One of her greatest joys was being a “Gammy” to her grandchildren. She adored them, and the love she had for them was immeasurable.
She is preceded in death by her father, Danny Payne.
Malinda is survived by her husband, Danny Cripe of Haskell; her children, Sonny Payne of Haskell, Caleb White of Houston, Joshua White and Jessica of Houston, and Samantha Frazier and Tim of Sagerton; her bonus son, Donovan Rodriguez of Haskell; stepsons, Heath Cripe and Jennifer of Medford, OK, Derik Cripe and Krystal of Tonkawa, OK, and Tyler Cripe and Christine of Enid, OK; grandchildren, Damien, Robyn, Charlie and Hazel; step grandchildren, Trista, Emily, Olivia, and Talia; 3 step great grandchildren; mother, Glenda Payne of Haskell; sister, Sherry Rodriquez and Tony of Mineral Wells; brother, Daniel Payne and Melissa of Haskell; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of dear friends.
