Mary Frances (Gipson) Binns

May 26, 1944 — June 24, 2023

Austin

Mary Frances Binns, 79, of Austin, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 24, 2023. A graveside service will be held 10:00am, Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Willow Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.

Mary was born May 26, 1944 to the late JB and Iva Lee Gipson. On January 13, 1996, she married Joe Binns. She held many jobs throughout her career, including secretary to the Region #14 Education Service Center head, secretary of the Smith Baptist Association, and managing a physical therapy clinic. However, her occupation she was most proud of was being a wife, mom, and granny.

Mary was co-director of the Senior Adult Couples 5 Department at Hyde Park Baptist Church, Austin, TX and previously a choir member at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas and Hyde Park Baptist Church.

Mary Frances was a loving wife and always ready to go somewhere. Her most memorable trip was to Israel to see where Jesus walked. Now, she walks with Him for eternity. She also had an amazing trip to Thailand for 3 weeks, with her friends.

She was known to light up a room with her big smile and in previous years, with her big hats. She was a lady’s lady, in that she enjoyed being dressed to the Nines in her high heels and Sunday best.

Mary Frances is survived by her husband, Joe Binns; daughter, Shannon Lusk and Rob Kittley of Rule, TX; son, Stephen and Michaell Lusk of Lubbock, TX; Joe’s sons, Bryan Binns of Plano, TX; and Matthew Binns of Austin, TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Trey Kittley and wife Lauren of Paducah, TX; Samantha Kittley Daniel and husband Quentin of Whiteface, TX; Will Kittley and wife Macy of Henrietta, TX; Riley and Zeke Lusk of Lubbock, TX; Ayden and Ellie Binns of Plano, TX; seven great grandchildren and her nephew, Craig Childress and wife Terri of Lake Oswego, OR. The father of her children, Bobby Joe Lusk of Haskell, passed away October 15, 2018.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Anderson’s Buddy Backpacks, a 501c3, non-profit organization, P.O. Box 436, Whiteface, TX, 79379, for which granddaughter Sam Kittley Daniel is Vice-President.
