Mary Lou Gilleland, 94, of Haskell, passed away, Friday, March 25, 2022. A Graveside Service will be held 2pm, Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Willow Cemetery with Philip Sims officiating. Viewing will be 8am-8pm, Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Mary Lou was born July 16, 1927 in Haskell, Texas, the daughter of the late Oran Webb and Stella Stewart Webb. On June 21, 1947, she married Burnell Gilleland, he preceded her in death, August 3, 1997. She was a homemaker and proud to be a Farmer's wife. In earlier years, she was active in helping with girl scouts, enjoyed painting and learning sign language. Mary Lou was a member of the Church of Christ and would help with preparing funeral meals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; grandson, Heath McMeans; brother, James Robert Webb; great, grandchildren, Kinley and Max Blanks.
Mary Lou is survived by her daughters, Sheila Griffin and husband Luke; Susan Blanks and husband Terry all of Haskell, TX; grandchildren, Misty Gibson and husband Paul of Haskell, TX; Matt Blanks and wife Stephanie of Hondo, TX; Jeff Blanks and wife Braid of Abilene, TX; Brad Blanks and wife Callie of Houston, TX; Glenn Griffin and wife Crystal; Gayle Griffin and husband Gerald Bodde all of Holliday, TX; great, grandchildren, Will, Lyston, Levi, Leighton, Bennett, Everett, Ruby, Maggie, Olive, Matthew, Carissa, Reese, Moraga, extended family and a host of dear friends.
