Sandra Lynette Brothers, 61, lifelong resident of Rule, passed away, Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at her home in Rule, TX.  A Funeral Service will be held 1:30pm, Saturday, February 3, 2024 at East Side Baptist Church in Haskell, TX with Bro. Dan Befort officiating.  Burial will follow in Rule Cemetery under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D.  A visitation will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 10:00-11:00am at the funeral home.  Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.

Sandra was born September 30, 1962, in Rule, Texas, the daughter of the late Arlis Earl Brothers and Glenda June Andrews Brothers.  In 1982, she graduated from Rule High School.  Many years ago, she worked for Winn’s, Bill’s Dollar Store, and Perry’s, filling the greeting card displays.  Sandra shelled and cleaned numerous pounds of pecans for Molly Cannon in Rule.  She was a member of East Side Baptist Church and worked many years in the nursery loving, nurturing, and shaping the lives of the little children God entrusted to her care referring to them as “her kids.”  Sandra loved her family and greatly enjoyed spoiling her nephews, A.J. and Richie.  She was a longtime Rule Bobcat Booster Club member and along with her mom, was awarded “Booster Club Member of the Year.”  Watching the Bobcats play on Friday night was one of her favorite past-times and she was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Sandra loved camping and fishing while growing up, as well as, playing dominoes, 42, and adult coloring books.  It wasn’t anything unusual for her to stay up until the early hours of the morning at her Uncle Ambryce’s house playing dominoes.  She found so much joy going to family gatherings and family reunions.  She had fallen in love with playing games on her phone the past several years.  Sandra loved talking to and texting loved ones – both family and friends.  Above all, she loved God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlis and Glenda Brothers; great nephew, River Rogers; great niece, Adalee Rogers.

Sandra is survived by her sister, Karla Rogers (Henry) of Rule; aunt, Betty Sorrells; nephews, Arlis J Rogers (Hollie), and Richie Rogers; great niece, Adalynn Rogers; numerous step nieces & nephews; step great nieces & nephews and a host of dear friends.
