Stacy was born in Haskell, Texas to Wayne Merchant and Deborah “Debbie” Gayle Medford Merchant. She attended school in Paint Creek and went on to work for many years as a cosmetologist.
Stacy was a devoted woman of God whose faith was at the center of her life. She was a faithful member of New Beginnings church in Rochester and found great joy and comfort in reading her Bible. With a heart of serving others, she had a special passion for prison ministry.
She also enjoyed arts and crafts, especially embroidery, and loved using her creativity. Above all, her greatest joy was her family, whom she loved dearly. Her faith, compassionate heart, and love for others were a beautiful reflection of the life she lived.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gregory “Greg” Taylor.
