Tony Allen Williams

Tony Allen Williams, 79, lifelong resident of Haskell, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 in Abilene. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00pm on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Haskell Funeral Home. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.

Tony was born on September 6, 1946 in Stamford, Texas, the son of the late Edward Williams and Lennie Covey Williams. On July 13th, 1967, Tony married Charlene Murphy in Paint Creek, Texas. He was a member of the Haskell Church of Christ.

He was a lifelong heavy equipment operator with Williams Backhoe Company, a business founded by his father in 1963. He began working alongside his dad in 1973 and dedicated nearly five decades to the work he loved before retiring in 2021. Tony was an avid hunter and fisherman however his greatest happiness came from spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, 2 sisters.

Tony is survived by his wife of 58 years, Charlene Williams of Haskell, Texas; two sons, Ty Williams of Oregon and Kelly Williams and wife, Gayle of Haskell, Texas; grandchildren, Justin Williams, Lacy Williams, and Tyler Williams; nephew, Eddie Don Williams of Archer City; extended family and a host of dear friends.
