Willard Lindy Mullins, 91, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. A graveside memorial service will be held 1:00pm on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Willow Cemetery with Pastor Brian Hevrin officiating under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home 2 Avenue D, Haskell, Texas. Willard was born February 3, 1934, in Haskell County, Texas. Willard attended school in both Rule and Haskell and graduated from Cisco Junior College before attending North Texas State College. Except for a period of time working for Chance Vaught Aircraft in Dallas, Willard spent all his life farming in Haskell County. He was active in Farmers Union, serving as President and in various other capacities. He took part in the Washington Fly-Ins to benefit farmers. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Willard was preceded in death by his parents, George W. Mullins, Sr. and Lora Mae Welch Mullins; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, George W. Mullins, Jr. and Bess Chamberlain Mullins, Manuel Wayne Mullins, Sr. and Barbara Caraway Mullins.

Willard is survived by two sisters: Delorise Annette Mullins McMillen and husband, Jim McMillen of Canton, Georgia, and Robbie Mullins Curry of Lubbock, Texas. He also had five nephews: Mike McMillen of Orlando, Florida, John McMillen of Marietta, Georgia, Manuel Wayne Mullins, Jr. of Olney, Texas, George William Mullins of Dallas, Texas, and Patrick Scott Curry of Lubbock, Texas. He had four nieces: Catherine Mullins Espy of Port Townsend, Washington, Sharon McMillen Cannon of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Mylana Mullins Hardin of Graham, Texas, and Shana Curry Gipson of Midland, Texas.

Willard’s family gives special thanks and gratitude to all those who helped and took care of Willard: Dr. Wayne Cadenhead, Roy Flanders, Robert Ortiz, and his many nurses and caretakers at the Plaza in Lubbock, Texas.
