Zetta Lee Short Dutton

Zetta Lee Short Dutton, 90, lifelong resident of Haskell, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022 in Abilene, TX. A funeral service will be held Friday, 10:00am, July 15, 2022 at the First Assembly of God with Bro. Carl Amburn and Sis. Debbie Amburn officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Cemetery under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 6:00-7:00pm at Haskell Funeral Home. Zetta was born March 15, 1932 in Haskell, Texas, the daughter of the late Delia Mae Conner Tidrow and B.C. "Alf" Tidrow. On November 7, 1952; she married J.C. Short in Graham, TX; he preceded her in death October 15, 1980. In the summer of 1982, she married W.A. Dutton, he preceded her in death, October 5, 2002. Zetta enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and crossword puzzles. She was a homemaker, who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and prayed for them daily. Zetta was a member of the First Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son, Larry Short; grandsons, Bobby Short, Jonathan Short; and brothers, J.C. Tidrow and Chick Tidrow.
Zetta is survived by her children, Clifford Short and wife Mynea of Haskell; Cindy Short of Abilene; brother, Gaston Tidrow and wife Willie Faye of Haskell; daughter-in-law, Shirley Short of Rochester; grandchildren, Kimberly Meier of Clyde; Sharla Bradford of Excelsior Springs, MO; Michelle Taylor of Abilene; James Green of Abilene; Cameron Short of Haskell; Bradley Matlock of Justin; Ashlee Gainey of Colorado City; numerous great and great, great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
