Reba Faye Cheyne, 77, of Haskell, passed away, Friday, February 3, 2023 at Haskell Memorial Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held 10:00am, Monday, February 6, 2023 at First Assembly of God with Bro. Carl Amburn officiating. Burial will follow in Clearfork Cemetery, Lueders, under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. A visitation will be held Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 2:00-4:00pm at the funeral home. Reba was born September 9, 1945 in Lueders, Texas, the daughter of the late Dallas Luther Underwood and Mattie Ruth Lemons Underwood. For over 18 years, she worked as a janitor at the Haskell Post Office. She was a member of the Pink Ladies and volunteered delivering boxes from the food bank to people in need. Reba was a member of the First Assembly of God. She enjoyed working puzzles, and loved animals and her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, twin brother, Raymond Luther Underwood, and sister, Bobbie Shott.
Reba is survived by her children, Jerrel Lynn Payne and Marilyn; Terry Lee Payne; Stephanie Cheyne all of Haskell; grandchildren, Michael Lynn Payne of Haskell; Selinda Renae Payne and Coby Wells of Oklahoma City, OK; Aaron Lee Silvas; Joseph Lebrone Pryor; Octavia Pryor; Cade Culberson; Brittany Moore and Tony Trevino; Braden Payne; Ashlyn Payne all of Haskell; Justin Amaro of Ballinger; great grandchildren, Tylynn, Chasity, Mackenzie, Ari, Allie, Hayden, Haylee, Kynlee, Molly, Hayden, Grayson, Scout and Scarlett. She is also survived by her sister, Laverne Chisum of Early; brother, Dallas Clifford “Cookie” Underwood of Hawley; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
