Obituary for Jesse E Billington
Jesse E. Billington, 63, of Haskell, passed away, Thursday, October 29, 2020 at his home. A funeral service will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at First Baptist Church with Brother Johnny Silvas officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Cemetery under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Monday, November 2, 2020 at Haskell Funeral Home. Jesse was born September 10, 1957 in Haskell, Texas, the son of George Billington and Dorothy Wright Billington. He married Lola Silvas. Since 1985, he has worked for Thomas Farms. He also worked for the City of Haskell for 17 years. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, John Billington, Fred Billington, J.W. Billington and Robert McGinnes.

Jesse is survived by his wife Lola Billington of Haskell; son, Fred Townsend of San Diego, CA; daughters, Lynna Billington and Bryson Young of Abilene; Destiney Billington of Abilene; step-sons, Tyrone Thomas of TN; Otis Thomas of Sherman, TX; step-daughter, Jasmine Thomas of LA; grandchildren, Jacob Young, Tyresse Thomas, Tyland Thomas, Jaedon Thomas, Jordan Thomas, Tristan Fowler; sisters, Mary Johnson of Haskell; Georgia Smith of Abilene; Pearl “Minnie” Itson of Abilene; Juanita Wheeler of Pittsburg, CA; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
