Obituary for Kenneth Ray Keele
Kenneth Ray Keele, 79, of Rochester, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021 at his home. A Funeral Service will be held 10:00am, Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at First Baptist Church Weinert with Bro. Dan Bullock officiating. A Graveside Service will be held 4:00pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Odessa with Bro. Vaughny Taylor officiating. A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 7:00-8:00pm at Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Kenneth was born May 12, 1942, the son of the late Thomas Keele and Irene Joiner Keele. On May 23, 1997, he married Teresa Davis in Odessa, TX. He worked as a Foreman for the Ector County Independent School District for 27 years. In Odessa, Kenneth served as an ordained deacon and was currently a member of First Baptist Church Weinert, where he enjoyed volunteering at Vacation Bible School. He also enjoyed wood working, fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Anita Parker Keele; sisters, Beulah Benton; Ginger Thurman; Peggy Sparks; brothers, Elmer Keele and Henry Keele.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Teresa Keele of Rochester, TX; children, Patricia Hausman and husband Lloyd of Bergheim, TX; Jay Chancey and wife Taya of Boyd, TX; Jim Chancey and wife Lynn of Floresville, TX; Jennifer Bryan and husband Benny of Abilene, TX; Dianne Johnson and husband Dan of Odessa, TX. He is also survived by grandchildren Cody Hausman, Brady Constantine, Whitney Wilkening, Shelby Chancey, Brittney Barringer, Bailey Bryan, Mandy Chancey, Justin Chancey, Daphne Rogers, Janay Chancey, Jacob Chancey, Dan Johnson, Jessica Banegas, Cameron Jennings, Spencer Brown, Zane Brown; 21 great grandchildren; Brother, W.T. Keele of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Barbara Gardner and husband Bobby of Weatherford, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
