Alyssa was born January 20, 1997 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Mellisa Ann Casillas. Alyssa was born with half a heart and doctors never expected her to live past her young years. Being the strong and determined person she is, she proved the doctors wrong time after time. Alyssa enjoyed playing volleyball, cheering and dance. Some of her favorite past times were reading, singing and cooking. Alyssa often had her family try her new cooking creations. She was a member of Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, she loved her church family. She loved her cousins, who were more like brothers and sisters. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” 2 Timothy 4:7-8.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mellisa Ann Casillas and brothers, Thomas Zachary Casillas and River Davis Rogers.
Alyssa is survived by her grandparents, Charles and Martha Casillas of Knox City; great grandmother, Nettie Mae Watson of O’Brien; aunts, Crystal Casillas of Knox City, Melissa Casillas of Haskell and Cassie McFadden of Haskell; uncles, Jeff Casillas of Knox City and Jeremy Casillas of Knox City; cousins, Caleb, Andrew, Brittany, Bethany, and Corbin; and a host of dear friends.
