Obituary for Carol Ann Herron
Carol Herron, 63, of Haskell, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in Haskell. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Rule with Rev. Marvel G. Bailiff and Pastor Scott Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Rule Cemetery under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00pm, Friday, March 31, 2017 at Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D, Haskell, TX. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.

Carol was born September 30, 1953 in Haskell, TX, the daughter of Genelle Bruce Miller and Raynelle Ross Miller. In 1972, she graduated from Rule High School. She later graduated from Texas Tech with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Carol taught homemaking for a few years, before she decided she would like to be an entrepreneur. She owned and operated businesses in Levelland and Stamford, until she could no longer work. Carol loved working in her yard and gardening. She was also a great cook and enjoyed crafting.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; father, Genelle Bruce Miller; brother, Gary Bruce Miller; aunts, Fern Singleton and Helen Lancaster and uncle, Johnny Ross.

Carol is survived by mother, Raynelle Ross Nipper of Haskell; son, Chance Herron and wife Candice of Greenville, TX; grandchildren, Corbin Herron, Calli Herron; brother, Ricky Miller and wife Stephanie of Snyder, TX; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and a host of dear friends.
