Jimmy N. Alexander, 77, of Old Glory, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in Abilene, Tx. A service will be held 2pm, Friday, September 7, 2018 at Weinert Cemetery Chapel in Weinert, TX with Brother Rob Harrison officiating. Jimmy was born January 5, 1941 in Weinert, Texas, the son of the late Leonard and Pearlie Robison Alexander. On September 22, 2001, he married Florence Peden in Elk Mountain, Wyoming. He went to the Elkin School of Broadcasting, becoming a disc jockey and weatherman for KWFT Radio in Wichita Falls, TX and later KAUZ TV. Jimmy was an avid fisherman and hunter, was a mason and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Mavis Alexander and Billy Alexander.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Florence Alexander of Old Glory, TX; son, Jimmy Alexander II and Kelley McCrummen of Holliday, TX; daughter, Nicole Alexander of Austin, TX, grandchildren, Wesley Nathan Alexander of Grand Prairie, Kelsey Nicole Alexander of Holliday, Texas; step-daughter, Penny Stafford and husband Charli and grandson Tristan Stafford of Rogers, AR; sister Erlinda Mayfield and husband Tiffen of Weinert, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
