Pedro Deltoro Torres, 84, of Knox City, passed away, Monday, September 2, 2019 at Brazos Valley Care Home. A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 am, Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Foursquare Church, Knox City, with Pastor Gary Schnable officiating. Pedro was born May 31, 1935 in Natalia, TX; the son of the late Elena Deltoro Torres and Alejandro Torres. He was a farmer and later worked as a custodian in the Haskell School District for over 20 years. Pedro was a member of the First Baptist Church in Albany. He was an avid sports fan, like to sing in the choir and enjoyed writing and drawing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Buckner Torres; brother, Ray Torres; daughter-in-law, Mary Wallis Torres; great grandson, Jayce Cannon Abila and grandson-in-law, Anthony Moreno.
Pedro is survived by daughter, Linda Abila and husband Mario of Knox City; sons, Pete Torres and wife Kaylynn of The Woodlands; Gilbert Torres of Gonzales, TX; Audelia Valerio Torres; grandchildren, Lezli Molina and husband Fernando; Lindsey Abila and husband Freddie; Mealinda Moreno; Mario Abila III and wife Jessica; Christian Abila; Allison Torres; Timothy Torres and wife Katie; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Ralph Torres and wife Dora of Rule; nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
